SIGNIFANCE OF THE TREE FAIR

​Bangladesh is situated in the south Asian part of the World Map. It is a tiny land in the globe, southern part is Bay of Bengal and major part of Sundarbans, which makes Bangladesh climate very enjoyable with soothing weather, not so cold or warm. Through Bangladesh forest reservation is not quite satisfying, but every person of Bangladesh is very much alert about the environment. Citizen of Bangladesh and Government are fighting in different way to face environmental problems. Lots of foreign help, for different types of projects are going on by the Government initiative. But this enormous planning of tree fair is really amazing, enjoyable, and very effective for the enhancement of environmental attribute around us.
​5th June is World Environment Day. The basic idea of the tree fair is to make people’s awareness to save our country from natural calamity like storm, cyclone, tidal bore, tsunami, flood and hill sliding etc. – happening every time. More and more afforestation makes our country green and save biodiversity. It is a big effort and enthusiastic contribution of Forest Department as well citizens. Scientists and businessman are all very innovative. This ornamental, economical and more scientific fair is pushing our country to solve environmental problems.
​We should arrange lecture about environment and biodiversity, and the way to save the earth from natural disaster. Trees are vital power for sustaining life on earth.
​Bangladesh is practically a member of “Save the Earth” from environmental pollution. United Nation Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), convened in Rio-de-Genero, in June 1992, to promote economic development, reduce poverty and preserve and protect earth’s ecological system. But it is true that environmental pollution never happens within the geographical limitation. The whole earth is over populated. Now Bangladesh is very active to save the earth with its own regional and universal aspect. This over populated country is every time exhausted with its own natural calamities, including improper natural resource management, health and industrial hazards, lack of basic environmental education and research.
​Bangladesh hosts following types of major forests. These are 1. Hill forest (mostly mixed evergreen forest), (2) Sal Forest (deciduous forest), 3. Mangrove Forest 4. Plantation mangrove forest, 3 other types of forest which contain substantial biodiversity of the country. 5. Fresh water swamp forest 6. Homestead forest, 7. Village community forest which is conserved by communities for their use. All of these forests are protected by the laws of Bangladesh.
​Environmental pollution is one of the most crucial global issues today. This fair is environment related, so we should provide TV show about all these aspects. Through this fair the innovative people use their modern technology, like how they can grow different variety of fruits in one tree to make business more profitable. We can mention about bonsai technology. Different types of roses, orchids, flowers, medicine plants are available in the fair. Orchid cultivation in Bangladesh is very important. Rainy season is the main season in this country, which is very suitable for orchid cultivation. People are earning a lot from flower cultivation. So, this fair encourages people to elevate beautification of their house, balcony and garden. People decorate their festivals with ornamental flowers and plants. When we visit world country, we become amazed to see that they decorate their city road, wall, park etc. with plants and flowers, instead of bricks and metals. They enjoy their valuable time with this beautiful array of natural gift. So, it is not only tree fair, its significance is very wide. The arrangement of this fair is definitely very wide. Because the environmental pollution is not within the limit. Environmental pollution is one of the most crucial global issues today. Environmental pollution is defined as “physical and biological components of the earth atmosphere system” to such an extent that normal environmental processes are adversely affected. Therefore, some educational advantage like lecture and environmental U tube channel show must be provided to make people knowledgeable. Though it is and international fair, it will focus the image of our country all over the world.
